Veritas Christian Academy is headed into Friday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. Despite the defeat, Veritas Christian Academy had strong showings from Luke Niemeyer, who went 9-for-14 on his way to 23 points, and Jake Markham, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 15 points. Markham continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Uriah Reardon, who posted six points in addition to ten boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Wright City lost to North Callaway at home by a 56-41 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now lost six in a row.

Wright City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Veritas Christian Academy, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 14-7.
