Recap: Glen Lake Lakers vs. Kingsley Stags
The Glen Lake Lakers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against Kingsley by a score of 52-42. Given Glen Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Kingsley is ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dylan Cundiff was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jacob Plamondon was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Glen Lake's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Kingsley, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glen Lake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Traverse City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Kingsley, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
