Football Recap: Upper St. Clair Panthers vs. South Fayette Lions        
        
		
             It was a proper cat-fight when  Upper St. Clair faced off against South Fayette on Friday. The Upper St. Clair Panthers came out on top against the South Fayette Lions by a score of  17-7. Given the Panthers' advantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings  (they are ranked fifth, while the Lions are ranked 41st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Upper St. Clair found their leader in underclassman  John Banbury, who rushed for 137 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those 137  rushing yards set a new season-high mark for  Banbury.
 Upper St. Clair was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 342  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 151  rushing yards in 12 consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.

 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper St. Clair will face off against Bethel Park at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Bethel Park will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Upper St. Clair surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Fayette, they will square off against Peters Township at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both  have allowed few  points on average, (South Fayette: 9.9, Peters Township: 9.3) so any  points scored will be well earned.
