Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John Milledge Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asa Wall, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 96 yards and one score on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Wall has posted since back in August. Javaris Hurt helped out on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.
John Milledge Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Malek Dorsey and Bryce McDonel. McDonel got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Deerfield-Windsor beat Westfield School 26-14 on Friday.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Lane Sceals and Brock Johnson. Sceals had a great game and threw for 278 yards and one touchdown while completing 79.3% of his passes. Meanwhile, Johnson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 73 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries, while also throwing for 142 yards on 11 of 20 attempts.
John Milledge Academy's record now sits at 11-1. As for Deerfield-Windsor, their record is now 12-0.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. John Milledge Academy has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 358.4 total yards per game. However, it's not like Deerfield-Windsor struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 366.1 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
