Baseball Game Preview: Nevada Cubs vs. West Marshall Trojans

Nevada hasn't had much luck against West Marshall recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Cubs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 5:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Nevada comes in on three and West Marshall on five.

Nevada proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Iowa Falls-Alden 4-2.

Meanwhile, West Marshall got the win against Greene County on Friday by a conclusive 11-4. Considering the Trojans have won four games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Marshall's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Nevada, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
