Soccer Recap: Spruce Takes a Loss

Spruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the West Mesquite Wranglers. While losing is never fun, Spruce can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 685th, while West Mesquite are ranked 286th).

Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for West Mesquite, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-3 record this season.

Spruce will challenge Wilson at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Wilson will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last. As for West Mesquite, they will venture away from home to take on Seagoville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
