Basketball Recap: Elkhorn Comes Up Short

Elkhorn came up into this matchup off a tough 24-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Beloit Memorial Purple Knights by a score of 71-68 on Friday. The Elks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Purple Knights earlier this season, when they won 75-69.

Elkhorn dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Beloit Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-12.

Elkhorn will challenge Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkhorn is facing Burlington at the right time seeing as Burlington is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Beloit Memorial, they will face off against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
