Softball Game Preview: Columbia Crimson Tide vs. York County Tech Spartans

Columbia is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and York County Tech a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Columbia Crimson Tide will look to defend their home field against the York County Tech Spartans at 4:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Columbia lost 19-1 to J.P. McCaskey on Monday.

Meanwhile, York County Tech fell victim to Biglerville and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Canners, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for York County Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Columbia couldn't quite finish off York County Tech in their previous matchup back in May of 2015 and fell 11-9. Can Columbia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
