Calvary Day School piles up the points against Ashley Ridge

The Calvary Day School Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Ashley Ridge 81-41 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Calvary Day School who now have five in a row.

Calvary Day School found their leader in underclassman Dane Cassada, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 assists. The contest was Cassada's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Tolbert, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Ashley Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Clayton Everett dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Jordan Davis was another key contributor, scoring five points.

Calvary Day School has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Ashley Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Calvary Day School and Greensboro Day School will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Greensboro Day School will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Ashley Ridge will take on Beaufort at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Beaufort is ranked 121st, while Ashley Ridge is ranked 102nd).
