Baseball Recap: Shore Regional Comes Up Short

Shore Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 last Thursday.

Shore Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Shore Regional will host Matawan Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, they will challenge Howell at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
