Yuma Catholic had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Tonopah Valley Phoenix as they made off with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for Yuma Catholic, who have now won 11 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Diego Pompa and Camilo Merino scored all three of Yuma Catholic's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Yuma Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 18-1-1. As for Tonopah Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Looking ahead, Yuma Catholic will challenge Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Tonopah Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
