Soccer Game Preview: West Stanly vs. Forest Hills

The West Stanly Colts are taking a road trip to take on the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Stanly is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.

West Stanly's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Monroe as they made off with a 9-0 victory. It was an even better day for Raygan Gainey as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Forest Hills fell victim to Piedmont and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Panthers. Forest Hills have struggled against Piedmont recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Forest Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for West Stanly, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

West Stanly took their victory against Forest Hills in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
