Basketball Recap: Aquinas Takes a Loss

Aquinas was the 57-48 winner over Linfield Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Aquinas Falcons fell to the Linfield Christian Lions 47-42. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Aquinas still got an impressive performance from Vincent Warsaw, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Jones, who posted six points and 14 boards.

Linfield Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Crawford led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Crawford has scored at least a third of Linfield Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Julius Brower, who put up 12 points and seven assists.

Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Linfield Christian, they moved to 7-12 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ontario Christian the next time they take the court. Aquinas will host Ontario Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Linfield Christian will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
