Basketball Recap: Orme Takes a Loss

Orme was the 63-42 winner over Arrowhead Christian Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Orme Warriors fell 40-29 to the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday.

Arrowhead Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Jaden Arellano, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and six assists. Arellano is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Tristin McLaughlin was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

Orme's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Orme will head out to take on BASIS - Prescott at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Arrowhead Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 0-0 victory against Phoenix School of Academic Excellence on the 17th.
