Baseball Recap: Donna Comes Up Short

Donna fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lopez on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 6-5. The Redskins haven't had much luck with the Lobos recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Donna saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Rincon, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. Rincon has become a key player for the Redskins: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 9-12 otherwise. Jace Castillo was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.

Donna now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Lopez, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-4-1.

While Donna had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
