Baseball Game Preview: Burkburnett Bulldogs vs. Lake Worth Bullfrogs

For the second straight game, Burkburnett will face off against Lake Worth. The Bulldogs will square off against the Bullfrogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

While Burkburnett's victory against Lake Worth wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs skirted past the Bullfrogs 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 1st.

Burkburnett let Cooper Riley and JJ Duncan run wild. Riley scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Duncan scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Duncan a new career-high. Josh Olsen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lake Worth dropped their record down to 2-16-1 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Burkburnett, they moved to 4-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
