Nathan Powers gave up the fewest earned runs he has over his last four games on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

Powers' strong effort led Briarcrest Christian over Arlington and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
