Baseball Game Preview: Skyline Coyotes vs. North Canyon Rattlers

The Skyline Coyotes will be taking part in a tournament against the North Canyon Rattlers at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Canyon took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Skyline, who comes in off a win.

Skyline is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Alhambra. Skyline came out on top against Alhambra by a score of 14-10 on Wednesday.

Thor Pelczarski looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Dru Moore was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Bond, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Skyline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins dating back to last season, North Canyon's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 12-4 to Thunderbird.

North Canyon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Dye, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
