Basketball Game Preview: Algonquin Regional Titans vs. North Polar Bears

The Algonquin Regional Titans will take on the North Polar Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Algonquin Regional has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while North will come in with three straight wins.

Last Friday, Algonquin Regional was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-42 to Nashoba Regional. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Wolves are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, North made off with a 36-35 victory over Worcester Tech.

Algonquin Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for North, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9.

Algonquin Regional took their victory against North when the teams last played back in February of 2018 by a conclusive 63-42. Will Algonquin Regional repeat their success, or does North have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
