Volleyball Recap: Althoff Catholic Takes a Loss

Althoff Catholic saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones by a score of 2-1.

Reece Distler paced Althoff Catholic's offense, picking up ten kills. Distler got some help from Arista Bunn and her 25 assists. Karlyn Beltran controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Althoff Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Althoff Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Maryville Christian on the 16th. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Rochester on the 16th.
