Softball Recap: Mars Hill Bible Triumphs

Mars Hill Bible won the last time they faced Phil Campbell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers walked away with a 7-3 win over the Bobcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Ava Bramlett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Molly Wright was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lila Embry, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Mars Hill Bible's victory bumped their record up to 19-15. As for Phil Campbell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Mars Hill Bible will be playing in front of their home fans against Hackleburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Phil Campbell, they will venture away from home to take on Sheffield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
