Basketball Game Preview: Columbus International Lions vs. Beechcroft Cougars

Columbus International is 1-9 against Beechcroft since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Columbus International Lions take on the Beechcroft Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Columbus International is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Columbus International will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Mifflin, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Columbus International took their game back in December of 2024 with ease, bagging a 74-31 win over Mifflin. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-30, which was the final score in Beechcroft's tilt against Utica on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 598th, while the Redskins are ranked 186th).

Columbus International pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Beechcroft, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
