Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Eagles vs. Sheldon Huskies

Pleasant Grove is 0-10 against Sheldon since January of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Pleasant Grove Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sheldon Huskies at 7:30 p.m.

Pleasant Grove is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against St. Patrick-St. Vincent, falling 70-49.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sheldon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Cosumnes Oaks 70-38 on Friday. The game marked the Huskies' most dominant victory of the season.

Sheldon pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.9 points per game. As for Pleasant Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Pleasant Grove was taken down by Sheldon 92-63 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Pleasant Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
