Basketball Game Preview: Otis-Bison Cougars vs. Wallace County Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars duke it out with the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Otis-Bison is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Weskan 61-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since January 14th.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Wallace County on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 64-42 margin over Stanton County. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Wallace County's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Otis-Bison, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

Things could have been worse for Otis-Bison, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-40 loss to Wallace County in their previous matchup back in February of 2021.
