After flying high against Adamsville last Tuesday, Hardin County came back down to earth. The Hardin County Tigers took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fayette Academy Vikings. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fayette Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zane Pike, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Pike a new career-high in offensive rebounds (seven). Clay Anderson was another key player, scoring 11 points plus two steals.

Hardin County's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Fayette Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Hardin County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Scotts Hill at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th.
