Basketball Game Preview: Millard Eagles vs. North Summit Braves

The Millard Eagles will head out on the road to take on the North Summit Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millard has given up an average of 66.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Wednesday. The matchup between Millard and Duchesne didn't end well, with Millard falling 67-48. Millard hasn't had much luck with Duchesne recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, North Summit had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 70-66 W against the Wildcats.

North Summit's win came from a few key players that Millard will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tayton Pace, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 20 points. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Cru Richins was another key player, shooting 82% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals.

Millard's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for North Summit, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.

Millard took a serious blow against North Summit in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 87-58. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Pace, who went 7-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points.
