Baseball Recap: Half Moon Bay Wins Going Away Against Woodside

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Los Altos, Half Moon Bay was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Woodside Wildcats 10-0. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Riley Jackson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Half Moon Bay: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

Jackson wasn't the only one making solid contact: Half Moon Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodside only managed three hits.

Half Moon Bay's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Woodside, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Half Moon Bay beat the Wildcats by a score of 10-2 on Thursday.
