Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillcrest). They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Adamson Leopards on Friday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Leopards are ranked 630th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hillcrest's offense was hitting Adamson from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Amy Escorza led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Hillcrest is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those eight games. As for Adamson, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Hillcrest will be playing at home against Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Sunset's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last four contests. Adamson has already played their next match (against South Oak Cliff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
