Football Recap: Ferriday Trojans vs. Rayville Hornets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ouachita Christian, Ferriday was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Rayville Hornets 32-6. Considering the Trojans have won five contests by more than 25 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Ferriday got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Desmen Jefferson out in front who picked up 107 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Jefferson has become a key player for Ferriday: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Ellis, who threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns.
Ferriday's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Rayville, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
