Softball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Centennial can now relate to. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marriotts Ridge Mustangs on Monday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

Centennial has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Marriotts Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marriotts Ridge beat Centennial by a score of 5-2 later that day.
