Basketball Recap: Maquoketa Valley Skates Past Edgewood-Colesburg with Ease

Maquoketa Valley won the last time they faced Edgewood-Colesburg and things went their way on Monday too. The Maquoketa Valley Wildcats blew past the Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings, posting a 66-39 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Maquoketa Valley pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Edgewood-Colesburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, Maquoketa Valley will square off against South Winneshiek on Thursday. Maquoketa Valley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three games. Edgewood-Colesburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
