Making Waves Academy won the last time they faced Calistoga and things went their way on Monday too. The Making Waves Academy Marlins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Calistoga Wildcats, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Marlins have posted against the Wildcats since February 28, 2020.

Making Waves Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gustavo Rosas, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Rosas has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played.

Making Waves Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Calistoga, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Making Waves Academy will welcome Lick-Wilmerding at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calistoga, they will be playing at home against Summerfield Waldorf at 6:30 p.m. on March 19th.
