Softball Recap: Greater Cabarrus S Takes a Loss

Greater Cabarrus S was the 8-6 winner over Union Preparatory when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions fell 13-9 to the Polar Bears on Tuesday.

Aydin Saavedra was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. McKenzie Bruckler was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Greater Cabarrus S' defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Union Preparatory, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Greater Cabarrus S will head out to square off against Metrolina Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Stallions are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Union Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
