Softball Game Preview: Holden Rockets vs. Pope John Paul II Jaguars

The Holden Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Pope John Paul II Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holden is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Holden didn't have quite enough to beat French Settlement and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pope John Paul II, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out De La Salle 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jaguars have posted since February 24, 2024.

Holden's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Pope John Paul II, they moved to 12-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Holden couldn't quite get it done against Pope John Paul II in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 15-11. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
