Volleyball Recap: Gretna East Comes Up Short

Gretna East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Norris Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Gretna East was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13.

Elayne Graver paced Gretna East's offense, picking up six kills. Graver got some help from Maci Falcone and her 16 assists. Falcone was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Gretna East's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Norris, the win keeps them at an undefeated 29-0.

Gretna East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Blair on the 11th. As for Norris, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Waverly on the 11th.
