Basketball Recap: Altoona Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Altoona and Elk Mound squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Altoona had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Elk Mound Mounders by a score of 63-60. The Railroaders have struggled against the Mounders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Elk Mound, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Altoona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Elk Mound has already played their next contest (against Stanley-Boyd), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
