Soccer Recap: Elizabethton Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Elizabethton lost to David Crockett last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Fighting Cyclones walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pioneers.

Drake Teague and Reece Vernon scored all three of Elizabethton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Elizabethton's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four games. As for David Crockett, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-2.

Coincidentally, Elizabethton and David Crockett will both be playing Dobyns-Bennett the next time they take the pitch. The Pioneers will head out to face the Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Fighting Cyclones will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
