Recap: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Bellevue Eagles
The Jacksboro Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 65-34 win over Bellevue. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Jacksboro has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jacksboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lando Belcher, who scored ten points along with eight assists and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Cannon Valenzuela was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Jacksboro's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bellevue, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Jacksboro's road trip will continue as they head out to face Midway at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Midway comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Bellevue will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Windthorst at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Windthorst's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Bellevue has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
