Volleyball Recap: Butler Comes Up Short

Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions.

Butler started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 25-19.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Muchin College Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Butler will square off against rival Hansberry at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Muchin College Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe Rauner at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
