Trinidad skates past Raton with ease

The Trinidad Miners scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Raton for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-15 victory on the road. Trinidad might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by 30 points or more this season.
Trinidad's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Monserrad Viera Flores led the charge by scoring eight points along with nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. Danica Shipley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Trinidad now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Raton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinidad won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cotopaxi at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. Cotopaxi will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Raton, they will head out on the road to face off against Tucumcari at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
