Volleyball Recap: Boaz Takes a Loss

Boaz's tournament run continued when they took on Chelsea on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1.

Leading Chelsea to victory were Aly Davis and Alexis Rudolph. Davis had nine digs and one assist, while Rudolph had 12 kills, seven digs, and two aces. Rudolph is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 26 games she's played.

Boaz's defeat dropped their record down to 29-16. As for Chelsea, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-18 record this season.

Boaz will challenge Crossville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chelsea, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Guntersville on the 11th.
