Eastside has gone 9-1 against Churubusco recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Blazers will head out to square off against the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Eastside will be strutting in after a victory while Churubusco will be coming in after a loss.

Eastside proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Fremont 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blazers have posted since May 20, 2024.

Manchester hit Churubusco with a nine-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Squires, falling 15-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Squires: they've now lost five in a row.

Dawson Gump was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Aaron Norris also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Churubusco's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Eastside, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Eastside took their win against Churubusco when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. Do the Blazers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
