Basketball Game Preview: Katella Knights vs. Ocean View Seahawks

The Katella Knights will head out to square off against the Ocean View Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Katella is headed into Wednesday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They lost to Godinez Fundamental on the road by a 59-41 margin on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ocean View lost 74-54 to West on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1030th, while the Warriors are ranked 366th).

Ocean View's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-19. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Katella, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.

Katella took their win against Ocean View in their previous meeting on January 3rd by a conclusive 62-40. In that match, Katella amassed a halftime lead of 37-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
