Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ivy Dang and Oakley Bryce Lead Westmoore to Victory

There's no place like home for Westmoore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Norman North Timberwolves on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Westmoore won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-9, 25-20.

Westmoore was led to victory by Oakley Bryce and Ivy Dang. Bryce had seven digs and six aces, while Dang had eight digs and two assists. Those six aces gave Bryce a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Westmoore was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.

Westmoore pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Norman North, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Westmoore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Yukon on the 22nd. As for Norman North, they will head out on the road to take on Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
