Baseball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland lost against Licking back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Richland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phoenix Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Richland now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Licking, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland will venture away from home to take on Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Licking, they will challenge Cabool at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
