After a string of three wins, Itasca's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Hillsboro Eagles by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Itasca saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lailah Stevenson had 11 digs.

Itasca's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hillsboro, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Itasca didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Valley Mills on the 23rd. As for Hillsboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Abbott on the 23rd.
