Basketball Recap: Freeman Falcons vs. Johnson-Brock Eagles

After flying high against Sterling last Tuesday, Freeman came back down to earth. The Freeman Falcons fell 45-32 to the Johnson-Brock Eagles on Thursday. The Falcons have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Johnson-Brock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taryn Ottemann, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Ottemann is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Brooklyn Behrends was another key player, putting up nine points along with six boards and four steals.

Freeman's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Johnson-Brock, the win was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.
