After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ariton, Normal West was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Gibson County Pioneers 11-1. That looming 11-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.
Ty Bachman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sean Jenkins, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
