Softball Recap: Lucerne Valley Takes a Loss

Lucerne Valley managed to slip by Trona the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lucerne Valley Mustangs lost 13-1 to the Trona Tornadoes on Tuesday. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row dating back to last season.

Amaya Kelly was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Lucerne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Trona, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lucerne Valley will head out to face off against Santa Clarita Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trona, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 3:15 p.m. on March 13th.
