Baseball Recap: Liberty Magnet Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodlawn-B.R. last Saturday, Liberty Magnet came back down to earth. The Patriots came up short against the Family Christian Flames on Monday, falling 10-4. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flames apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Liberty Magnet saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Houston, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The Patriots are 4-1 when Houston posts two or more stolen bases, but 10-14 otherwise.

Liberty Magnet now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Family Christian, their win bumped their record up to 16-14.

As of now, neither Liberty Magnet nor the Flames have any future games scheduled.
